Why This Reference Exists
Michigan law provides access to many public records, but access does not mean every record appears in one search. The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office maintains county jail records, while its public Corrections pages focus on services rather than a searchable roster. Courts hold case filings and final dispositions. Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS covers state supervision, not ordinary county bookings. A focused FOIA request may be needed for a booking record or photograph. This site gathers those distinct official paths without copying the records.
